Be Part of History, Share Your Airport Memories
Send in your memories, photos and videos for a chance to win a Learjet flight for two with legendary aviator Clay Lacy!
Now through August 22, you can be a part of local history. To commemorate Van Nuys Airport’s 85th anniversary and the dedication of its newly improved main runway, the Los Angeles Daily News is inviting readers and community members to send in their most memorable stories, photos and videos of this famous local landmark, which will be published on a special website created exclusively for this occasion.
Gather your memories and materials, and send them to firstname.lastname@example.org
Three lucky winners will be chosen in the newspaper’s Grand Prize drawing to each receive a flight for two with legendary aviator Clay Lacy aboard his sleek Learjet 35. The flight will take place during Van Nuys Airport “Community Day,” Saturday, August 31. (Employees of Los Angeles World Airports are welcome to share their memories; however, employees are not eligible for the drawing).
