TEAM LAWA Cleans-up Litter, Removes Graffiti
TEAM LAWA recently joined the Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce for its 30th Annual Clean Up Day – a day of fun and outdoor work designed to help make the San Fernando Valley cleaner and greener.
Working with other volunteers, TEAM LAWA members helped clean up a hiking trail by removing graffiti in Limekiln Canyon in Northridge.
TEAM LAWA is a group of VNY employees and tenants who seek to make a difference in their community. Through Team LAWA, employees of VNY, friends, and family have the opportunity to volunteer their time for a broad and engaging assortment of community beautification, clean up, and fundraising projects.
In the past, Team LAWA has also assembled care packages with Operation Gratitude, assisted with the beautification of a local school, participated in a Habitat for Humanity Team Build, and held a food drive to benefit the SOVA Food Pantry, which garnered nearly one ton of food for those in need.
